Before we start, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my site. This blog is intended to be a safe space to discuss mental health, self-discovery, and self-love. Please be respectful to others and to yourself. Now let’s get started!
Who am I??
My name is Kendall Jackson. I am a 20-year-old college student trying to find my place in this world. Honestly, I feel so confused and lost in life. I’m starting a journey of self-discovery, acceptance, and love. So, who am I? I’m not entirely sure yet, but I will figure that out soon enough.
What is this blog about??
About a year ago I was diagnosed with Bipolar (II) Depression, ADHD, and severe General Anxiety. My mental health has completely taken over my life. I spend my days consumed by anxiety and bound by depression. These feelings have taken so much away from me; I’m honestly sick of it. I do not have the ability to get rid of my mental illness, but I have a goal to create a beautiful life for myself despite what I go through.
When can you expect to hear from me?
Right now, I can commit to two weekly posts without feeling overwhelmed. Those days will be Mondays and Thursdays at around 12:30 PM.
Why am I doing this?
One of the most awful parts of my mental illness is the isolation I feel. I feel like no one understands me or what I go through, but I know that can’t be true. I’d love to create a safe space filled with love and support from people affected by mental health. I believe that a proper support system can make a bad situation a little less sucky.
Well, that’s a brief introduction about myself.
I’d like to hear from you next! Who are you? What do you do? How can this blog support you?
As always I am open to any suggestions. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
Until next time,
Kendall
